"Great place with great service. The bartender Kasey is amazing. If you go there and she is working the bar, ask her to say her catch phrase, 'Cajun Style!' She says it all the time and it's hilarious!"

“The food, the wine, the program, the raffle, the table settings with red chargers and heart-shaped balloons -- it was all spectacular. The hospitality and warmth extended by your staff was outstanding. The CardioVascular Institute deeply appreciates the Inn's commitment to cardiovascular research and to helping the BIDMC Heart Walk Team get a head-start in its fundraising. Thank you.” Margaret, CardioVascular Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

"My husband and I were guests at The Inn for three nights during the blizzard, with my husband recovering from a Thursday surgery. Angela saw that our needs at the Grille were met during that crowded time with warmth and good will. This is very much appreciated. Thanks. PS. Both the food and service were great."

- Rosalind K.

"Well. We are here a lot. As we have been in Boston at Children's Hospital for 2 weeks. They have many gluten-free options, including great pizza, which the hospital restaurants don't. Go figure? Staff is very friendly. Prices reasonable for the city. Just wear long underwear as it is always 10 degrees colder than anywhere else."

- Chuck C., Rochester NH

"We have eaten here several nights in a row due to staying in the Longwood area. We have had consistent and friendly service each time!

For food, the nachos are excellent. I also enjoyed the French onion soup and the special this week of short ribs. So good!! The short rib sandwich is pretty tasty too. The prices seem reasonable to me.

The staff have gotten to know our drink orders and couldn't be nicer! The drinks are great, including something the bartender made up for us when I was craving something tropical.

An excellent change of scenery and great place to relax after a long day in the hospital."

- Lisa J., Nashua NH

"I've eaten there several times, and they couldn't be better. Everything has been delicious! Home roasted turkey, huge burgers, and fresh greens! They even accommodate gluten-free. I spoke directly to their chef and she was totally accommodating to my ridiculous restrictions."

- Katie T., Billerica MA

"Pretty awesome for a grill with an 'e'.

Get the nachos with the black-bean-and-corn-stuff (it's some sort of salad topping they have) instead of meat. Amazing. They're huge and delicious and you won't want food after that, but you'll probably order it anyway, because that's what happens at restaurants.

The grilled veggie pizza is also fabulous. The veggies are actually grilled, like, with black grill marks on them, and the seasonings are perfect. Did I mention goat cheese? NOM NOM NOM.

They have a full bar and make great drinks. They're on the small side though. Oh, and I find it annoying when places have a full bar but don't have a drink menu. It's more interesting if they have some concoctions, plus people are going to spend more that way. Word."

- Erika S., Boston MA

"I am still feeling the buzz from last night! What a spectacular success. I expected it to be good, but it exceeded my expectations …

  • The beautiful black and red table settings
  • The gracious staff
  • The yummy, interesting food
  • The perfect wine pairings
  • Tom’s fabulous raffle idea
  • The full house of happy people
  • Your absolutely apropos narration (not too little, not too much)
  • Dianna’s charming cameo appearances to describe her chocolate creations

I could go on and on. It was a perfect evening in every respect, and an incredibly generous gesture from the Inn at Longwood. Even if it had been nothing more, it was a wonderful team-building experience for the BIDMC Heart Walk team; the funds we raised for the American Heart Association were the icing on the (dark chocolate) cake!

One little element I particularly loved was that the woman who won the raffle was one of our most active, wonderful heart Walk team captains. If I could have decided who would win, I would have chosen her. The fact that she won by chance was part of the evening’s magic.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with you throughout Heart Month. Our partnership was enjoyable and gratifying and I hope it will continue. It made me aware that the Inn at Longwood is more than the only decent restaurant in Longwood – it is a collection of extraordinary and talented individuals, from the wait staff to senior management. And I now know you have function rooms!

Please convey my deepest gratitude to the staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
